Introduction

External Sales Representative

The Company specialises in the supply, support and application of industrial network communication as well as creating and supporting the backbones for various and major industrial networking plants in Africa. Industries represented are Power, Rail, Mining, Marine and CCTV.  As well as applications for the Power Automation Industry, Intelligent transportation systems, underground mining applications and other major industrial automation plants. The Company is the appointed support and sales distributor of MOXA industrial products for the Africa continent. Moxa is a Taiwanese company, based in both Taiwan and Germany and designs and manufactures industrial communication equipment, which is a product the company proudly promotes and supports as the products are rugged and reliable and suite the varying and extreme African environments. The company also enhances customer support through the supply of various other industrial network and communication products from Germany and the USA. Industrial industries include mining, rail, transport, water, automation, security, engineering, manufacturing, motor industry, power, robotics, steel, telecoms, universities, weight, oil & gas, military, hotel, hospitals, and fibre networks. 

 

The successful candidate will travel into Africa, promoting, building and supporting customer relationships in these industries based throughout Africa. This will be achieved through the successful supply of suitable, reliable and efficient products for this industry.  Customer support and liaison includes service support through product application training. The successful applicant will work closely with a dynamic and ever-growing sales team. Training will be provided.

  • Smart grid applications, such as renewable energy, substation transition and distribution.
  • Some understanding of the engineering background
  • Some understanding of PoE based solutions
  • Selling, Designing, supporting and implementing the above solutions

MUST HAVE

Quotations (& weekly follow ups)

South African Citizen, ID and valid passport

Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle.       

Converse in French                          

Liaising with customers (daily)

Data maintenance

Data Capturing into CRM system

Confident and eloquent communication (English)

Minimum 4 Years external sale’s experience in the industrial automation industry

To travel into Africa 

Positive attitude and self-motivated

Detail-orientated,  high degree of accuracy

Profile

Minimum Qualifications

Diploma or N+ Course

Computer/IT/Networking background                           

Invoicing

Research (products, updates, customers and industries)

Create achievable sales targets

Achieve weekly meeting target

Attend tender meetings

Report to sales manager

Travel into Africa and grow the African market

Experience in procurements utilising software (SAP software an advantage) 

Sound working knowledge of MS Office, report preparation

Some experience in presentations (use of software) and training

Excellent computer, typing, MS Office skills

Sound understanding of Industrial solution, industrial computing, serial connectivity, IP surveillance and remote Automation
